Client: Govia Thameslink Railway

Location: Brighton

The project involved the construction of a terraced area which was the old Brighton Railway works and had remained undeveloped to the rear of Brighton station.

This project had an exceptionally restricted access and also involved the remodelling of the main drop off area located to the rear of the station, required due to the fact that buses had difficulty to turn easily within this area.

Works included extensive bulk excavation, installation of 300 tonnes of gabion baskets, surface water drainage, CCTV and pedestrian lighting units. Installation of a pre cast concrete staircase, reinforced concrete ground floor slab to the adjacent cycle hub together with associated external works.
